MELVIN THAYER MOON

When Melvin Thayer Moon was born on December 14, 1867, in Newburg, West Virginia, his father, George, was 27 and his mother, Martha, was 20. He married Sarah Katherine Castle on May 14, 1889, in Preston, West Virginia when he was 21 years old.. They had nine children in 14 years. He died on September 24, 1928, in Monongah, West Virginia, at the age of 60.
