MARCUM FAMILY

Joseph Marcum was the father of Miranda Marcum, the grandfather of Rev. Eugene Kirk, and the great grandfather of Lucy Kirk, and the gg grandfather of Eugene Whaley.

When Josiah Silas Marcum was born on May 2, 1759, in Chesterfield, Virginia, his father, William, was 44 and his mother, Mary Walton Wathen, was 22. He married Edie McDonald in 1779 in Lee, Virginia. He died in March 1846 in West Virginia having lived a long life of 86 years.
