When James Samuel Castle was born in 1785 in Augusta, Virginia, his father, Joseph, was 30 and his mother, Margaret, was 15. He married Elizabeth Tabler on January 27, 1807, in Frederick, Maryland. They had nine children in 17 years. He died on November 2, 1868, in Clay, Ohio, having lived a long life of 83 years.

When Joseph Castle was born in 1755 in Castlewood, Virginia, his father, Jacob, was 38 and his mother, Sowege, was 35. He married Margaret Castle in 1797. They had seven children in 28 years. He died on February 28, 1804, in Russell, Virginia, at the age of 49, and was buried there.

When Jacob 'White Tassel' Castle was born on April 1, 1717, his father, Hans (Peter), was 51 and his mother, Catherine Hobart, was 41. He married Sowege 'Gliding Swan' in 1736 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, when he was 19 years old. He died on September 26, 1803, in Holston, Virginia, having lived a long life of 86 years.

Sowege was born 1720 in Lancaster, PA and died April 1, 1789 in Holsten River Area, VA. Married Jacob Castle.

When Peter (Kassel) Castle was born in 1666 in Kriegsheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, his father, Johannes, was 27 and his mother, Mary Op Den Graeff, was 23. He married Catherine Elizabeth Hobart in 1700 when he was 34 years old. They had two children, one of which was Jacob (White Tassel) during their marriage. He died in 1748 having lived a long life of 82 years. He was 20 years old when he, along with his father, immigrated to Philadelphia.

When Johannes (John) Castle was born in 1639 in Kriegsheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, his father, Yelles, was 49 and his mother, Mary, was 25. He had two sons, one of which was Peter, and two daughters with Mary Op Den Graeff. He died on April 17, 1691, in Germantown, Pennsylvania, at the age of 52, and was buried in Hilltown, Pennsylvania.

Julius 'Kassel' Castle was born in 1590 in Kriegsheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He married Mary Cassel in 1632 when he was 42 years old in Bavaria, Germany. They had five children. He died on January 1, 1681, in his hometown at the impressive age of 91.
